Skin clinic
Early skin cancer detection and treatment save lives
- Full-body skin checks using dermatoscopy
- Assessment and monitoring of moles and lesions
- Minor surgical procedures, including biopsies and excisions
- Ongoing follow-up and personalised care
Why get checked?
New Zealand has some of the highest skin cancer rates and skin cancer-related deaths in the world. Every year, around 80,000 Kiwis are diagnosed with skin cancer.
Thankfully, early detection makes treatment more effective. Melanoma, for instance, has an 85% cure rate when found early.
We recommend regular skin checks every 1–2 years, or sooner if you notice:
- A mole that’s changing in shape, colour, or size
- A spot that looks different from the others
- A non-healing sore or bleeding lesion
