Meet Dr Shahed Yassaie
Dr Shahed Yassaie is a New Zealand-trained General and Colorectal Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has completed advanced post-fellowship training in colorectal surgery and provides care for a wide range of conditions affecting the bowel and digestive system.
Dr Yassaie has experience managing both benign and more complex conditions using modern, minimally invasive techniques where appropriate. He is also part of the surgical team at North Shore Hospital.
He is known for his approachable manner and focus on patient-centred care, helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment.

- Haemorrhoids, fissures, and other rectal concerns
- Bowel symptoms or changes
- Hernias (abdominal or groin)
- Gallbladder conditions
- Colonoscopy and colorectal assessments
